Four Primary Forms
Iron oxide is available in four primary forms, each with distinct properties and applications.
Magnetite
Magnetite is a magnetic material form of predominately iron(II), with chemical formula Fe3O4, and is one of several iron oxide and a member of the spinel group. Magnetites can be synthetically manufactured by NanoChemonics having acicluar, spherodial, octohedral, and cubic geometries. Particles are characterized as ferri-magnetic materials having high magnetic saturation moment and high high ferrous iron content. Surface areas ranging from only several meters squared per gram to 150 are possible using our proprietary technoglogy.
