Four Primary Forms

Iron oxide is available in four primary forms, each with distinct properties and applications.

Goethite

Goethite

Goethite is a hydrated iron oxide and has the chemical formula of FeOOH or Fe(OH)3 Goethite is found all over the planet naturally, however NanoChemonices can produce synthetically uniforn acicular crystals with size and surface area ranging from one nano meter ( 320 m2/gm surface area) to micron sizes. Particle color depending on size will be yellow to brown. This material is quite stable and has been found to exhibit UV absorbing characteristics and exhibits high reactive catylatic activity from nano sized particles.
